Zoe G. Appler joined Chilton Yambert Porter LLP in 2024. Her practice focuses primarily on insurance defense, representing clients in both first-party and third-party litigation. Zoe's meticulous approach to litigation involves taking depositions, arguing motions before the court, and collaborating with experts to shape compelling case theories. She is also skilled at navigating negotiations to secure favorable settlements for her clients. Zoe's practice extends to a broad spectrum, including personal injury, motor vehicle law, premises liability, and general civil liability.
Zoe received her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2022, where she served as Captain of the Trial Advocacy Team and a Notes and Comments Editor for the Chicago-Kent Law Review. Zoe now coaches and teaches trial advocacy for the Temple Beasley School of Law Trial Advocacy Program. Prior to attending law school, she received her Bachelor of Arts in political science from The American University in 2018.
Prior to joining CYP, Zoe worked at several litigation firms, where she specialized in medical malpractice cases and matters spanning labor and employment, toxic torts, and contracts. Zoe's diverse background extends beyond law to the realm of policy and research. As a Research Associate at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C., she worked heavily on domestic policy analysis and government relations. Her editorial contributions to publications include The Chicago-Kent Law Review, The Washington Examiner, Inside Higher Ed, RealClear Politics, and The National Review. In her spare time, Zoe loves to cheer on her home team, the Buffalo Bills.
